Welcome Chumby Users (although they'll never read this)!

I was wondering why I started getting a lot more traffic to my fishcam until I discovered that someone made a Chumby widget out of my video feed. A Chumby is a little LCD/squishy blob that accesses your wifi and cycles through a bunch of customized channels (ebay, news, stock tickets, etc.) So now those lucky Chumby owners can watch my fishcam on their LCD blobs all day long. At first I didn't know what to think about it since the widget bypasses my website and goes directly to the video feed. But after about 2 minutes of intense thought I've decided to embrace the Chumby widget. More people will probably see my site because of it.

  • Reading it, d00d. And yeah - it's 'cuz it's on my Chumby.

What's your setup, camera/control-wise? I've got a 72 gal planted tank and I'm just narcissistic enough to give it a shot.

  • why can't we see how many viewers there are any more...since you added the full screen?

  • Chumby user here. You were correct that the only reason I found your website was due to my little chumby. Thanks for bringing your fishcam to us.

  • A chumbian here...definitely one of the favorites here at chumby. Great idea! It sort of turns the chumby into a virtual fish tank.

  • Hi Jason. I want a widget so I can have your fish tank and little fishies on my blog. Please please please? I am trying to figure out how to do it, LOL. Haven't figured out how to do it yet... I looked everywhere for a fish tank widget and I haven't found one yet. I am really bummed. yours is the best I have seen yet. If you let me have a widget I will put a link back to your site, either by linking the whole fish site, or by linking the name of your blog, or whatever you'd like. If there's a way, let me know. I am new to blogger, and pretty new to widgets, although I am not knew to blogging. I was over on AOL journals before they closed down, and we did not have a lot of knowledge on how to do things, so i haven't a clue on how to do a fish tank widget. I really want yours in my sidebar. Yours is the coolest I have every seen. Oh, you can contact me at fisherkristina@al.com, if you can show me how to install a widget! Thanks!

    Okay, must run!
